Our History
Eureka Springs Hospital has been providing quality health care since October 29, 1929, almost 80 years of service, and continues to provide quality health care today and into the future.
The Hospital Commission was created by the City of Eureka Springs for the purpose of operating and managing the City owned facility. The Commission is a group of local businessmen and women appointed by the Eureka Springs Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
In October 2007, Eureka Springs Hospital Commission and the Eureka Springs City Council took a significant step toward securing the future of the hospital and its employees by agreeing to a lease with Allegiance Health Management. AHM intends to assist the Eureka Springs Hospital in adding new services, recruiting additional Physicians and ultimately building a replacement facility to better serve the community.

| Eureka Springs Hospital has been fortunate to have such an active base of community volunteers comprising the Eureka Springs Hospital Guild. Guild members contribute both their time and their talents to bettering the environment for our employees and patients. The men and women of the Guild help us celebrate the holidays, throw birthday parties for in-patients, holds fund raisers throughout the year and operates the Purple House Thrift Shop.
